Each appliance is designed to increase the interocclusal distance and bring the mandible forward.

Appliances may be able to reduce or eliminate analgesic medication for the patient suffering from some disorders of the temporomandibular joint.
All RCM appliances are made from Dupont Elvax ® resin. Its chemical name is ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. This durable, remoldable material is almost impossible to break. The appliances have no taste, odor, or off gassing. They can be cleaned with a toothbrush using toothpaste or mouthwash.
